DESCRIPTION:New 10-Week Youth Development Programme for young people aged 16-18 in County Laois who are not in education or employment. \nThis programme\, delivered in collaboration with Tús Supervisors at Laois Partnership\, will equip participants with valuable skills\, including: \n\nGeneral Maintenance\nWoodwork\nHorticulture\nManual Handling (certified)\nCV and Employability Skills\n\nThe programme will run for 10 weeks\, with sessions taking place 2 hours per week in the morning. \nParticipants will also have the opportunity to explore joining the Tús initiative\, a community work placement scheme that provides short-term working opportunities for unemployed people. DESCRIPTION:Laois Domestic Abuse Service have developed a parent support program (group) which is being delivered this month. \n The program is specifically designed for mothers who have been subject to domestic abuse and coercive control\, covering the topics of:  \n Session One: Communication \nSession Two: Disempowerment and the Impact of D.V.A on parenting \nSession Three: Boundaries and Rules \nSession Four: Managing Access \nSession Five: Impact on Children and Managing Behaviours \nSession Six: Safety Planning \n  \nIt’s a six-week program\, each session is two hours.  \n  \nIf parents or professionals are interested in making a referral onto the program\, they can call the office on 057 86 711 00 to discuss in the first instance.  \n
