Dear Support Persons & Young Adults,
The Inclusion Ireland Connect Family Network in partnership with the Laois & Offaly Children and Young People’s Service Committee (CYPSC) will be offering a course for ten young adults with intellectual disability, aged 16-24, in career guidance and transitions. The course will begin with an in-person session from 10:30-1:30 on Saturday 17th January at the Darmagh Centre in Tullamore. At this session, participants will be given a workbook to guide the online sessions to further explore vision, finding one’s voice, will and preference, goals, pathways, and planning. The facilitator is Suzanne Bradley of Lead Together. Suzanne is dynamic and passionate about the journey and the building of capacity within a person to achieve dreams, goals, and aspirations.
There will be five follow up sessions online on Wednesdays, 7-8 pm:
21 & 28 January
4 & 11 February
4 March
If interested, please get in touch as soon as possible as this course is open only to the first ten applicants. Given the limited places in this workshop, it is asked that the young person commit to each of the sessions.
