Parent Programmes

This series of Parenting Talks has been organised by Laois County Library Service and Offaly County Library Service through support from Children and Young People’s Services Committees Laois Offaly (CYPSC).
The Parent Support Programme is open to everyone including parents, caregivers, healthcare professionals, teachers, special needs assistants and those working with children and young people. Subjects covered include mental health, first aid, online safety, child development and raising resilient children.

The programme aims to provide parents with simple and practical strategies to help build healthy relationships with their
children. It is designed to empower parents with the tools and confidence to support their child’s wellbeing and development.
Attendance at all events is free of charge.

FREE Triple P Parenting Programme For Parents of Children 2-10 Years

Triple P gives you tips and strategies to make family life less stressful with young children and a good understanding of positive parenting with plenty of ideas to make parenting easier. The Triple P Group Programme is for 4 weeks. Each session lasting 2 hrs. Topics covered include:

· Positive Parenting

· Helping Children Develop

· Managing Misbehaviour

· Implementing Positive Parenting Strategies
